Becky Edwards, Buyer's Specialist
Becky is a native of Ft. Pierce, Florida . She has had considerable experience in relocating since her father’s job required numerous moves throughout her childhood and teenage years. Becky is a graduate of Ashford High School where she was active in cheerleading, health education studies and Beta Club. After attending the University of Montevallo , she transferred to Auburn University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in June 1999. While attending college, Becky was active in Phi Mu Sorority and Auburn’s Big Brother Big Sister Program. After graduation, Becky began a career in sales and now has seven years experience in the telecommunication, pharmaceutical and real estate fields. Becky is married to her best friend, Tom, and has been blessed with two beautiful, rambunctious boys. Her family is an active member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana. Becky has a passion for people and a service-oriented attitude. She uses these attributes to help those who are seeking to find the home that best fits their lifestyle and family needs. Becky believes that God has richly blessed her life and shows it in the way she conducts herself both personally and professionally.
John Murphy, Buyer's Specialist
John is a native of Birmingham who spent the first decade of his life overseas while his parents did missionary work. After moving back to Birmingham, John completed his high school education in Alabaster at Kingwood Christian. While at Kingwood, John played football, and led worship for his youth group at North Shelby Baptist church. After graduating with an advanced honors diploma at the age of 17, John went to Auburn University on partial scholarship. John received his bachelor’s degree in accounting four years later. While at Auburn University John was involved in numerous activities such as intramural football and softball as well as the distinguished Beta Alpha Psi a professional accounting club. During his senior year at Auburn University, John searched for the right job with a service based company that would allow him to help people accomplish their dreams. That search led him to join John Mejia at Providence Real Estate. John prides himself on his self motivation, and desire to see people accomplish their goals.
Chéri B. Belk, Buyer's Specialist
As a native of Birmingham, Cheri grew up in the Trussville/Pinson area and graduated from Hewitt-Trussville high school. While working for a law firm and attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Cheri met and married Danny, her husband of 40 years. They have two beautiful married daughters and four wonderful grandchildren. They are active members of North Shelby Baptist Church. As a daughter whose father was in the construction industry, the sound of hammer and saw and the smell of sawdust were constant reminders of homes being built and a sign of new beginnings for families. Cheri’s love of real estate and homebuilding has never diminished. In joining the Mejia Group of Providence Real Estate, she has been a successful buyer’s specialist working with people of all ages, focusing on finding homes which match their individual needs. Cheri’s enjoyment in meeting new people intertwined with a real estate career is the perfect combination!
Nathan Farrow, Marketing Coordinator
Nathan grew up in Birmingham until moving to attend Auburn University. There, he played football and studied Criminal Justice. After graduating, Nathan joined The Mejia Group as Marketing Coordinator where he works on a variety of work ranging from flyers and listing photographs, to mail-outs and website updating. His attention to detail and creativity have brought another added bonus to The Mejia Group.Michelle Hartsfield, Buyer's Specialist
Michelle is a native of Dothan, Alabama. After graduating from Slocomb High School in 1992, she attended Wallace College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing. She then studied at Troy State University at Dothan majoring in Psychology. After graduation, Michelle began a career in the mental health field, first working at the Counseling Services of Dothan. Michelle married her husband, Shannon Hartsfield, in 1999 and moved to Birmingham. Michelle then ventured into Human Resources as she worked for Behavioral Health Systems, Inc., in Birmingham. While she had a passion for her career, motherhood called. She and her husband had their first child, Ann Kathryn in 2001. Her husband’s career moved the family to Montgomery, Alabama in 2004. In 2005, the Hartsfield Family moved back to the Greater Birmingham area. Michelle is now the blessed mother of three children, Ann Kathryn, Reed and Will. While devoting her time to raising her children, Michelle worked for Creating Home Interior Design. This is when Michelle realized her desire for a career in real estate. She loves the idea of helping families find that perfect place to call home. Michelle and her family are members of North Shelby Baptist Church. Michelle is also active in the Chelsea Youth League as a Cheerleading Coach and is a volunteer for the Chelsea School System. Michelle loves to be involved in her community and is very passionate about helping people.
